For Barbara Kwasnik’s Spring 2011 IST 616 Information Resources – Organization and Access class, we were given an assignment to parse a classification scheme and describe its features. We were expected to describe the domain and scope, the structure, relationships among entities, and do an analysis of the usefulness of the classification scheme. I chose to analyze the classification system used by Association Typographique Internationale, the international organization dedicated to typeface.
